Through my role within Country Parks and through the ELOTC network, my aim is to inspire learners of all ages to care for their local environment and create long lasting memories of nature through informative and creative learning experiences. Outdoor learning is a fantastic way to bring curriculum subjects to life, but more importantly, I believe that time spent outdoors is of great benefit to people of all ages physically, mentally and emotionally. ELOtC work hard together to promote learning outdoors across Essex, and it’s great to be part of this movement.

Like other members of ELOTCP I am committed to providing outdoor learning experiences to increase children’s understanding of nature, their local environment and the need to care for the wider world.

Michelle Mandry

Michelle Mandry

Treasurer – Daws Hall Trust & Essex Outdoors

I work for both the Daws Hall Trust and Essex Outdoors, two organisations fully focused on offering hands-on learning in the outdoors that’s stimulating, informative and fun. I feel strongly that all children should have the opportunity to spend time in the natural environment exploring, discovering, and learning through experiencing as well as from specialist providers. Recognising that, for many, that may only be achieved through school trips, I am keen to support the aims of the Essex LOtC Providers group in promoting the outdoor learning opportunities available in Essex.’
